Obadiah Residential Village is 75 acre rural retreat located four hours north of Sydney on the beautiful mid-north coast of New South Wales, Australia. We have direct access to the Pacific Highway midway between the major regional centres of Taree and Port Macquarie.
There is a range of dwellings available for short or long term renters. The dwellings include two 8 bedroom houses, three large 2 bedroom cottages, two 3 bedroom apartments, two 2-story 4 bedroom duplex dwellings, one 4 bedroom house, one 6 bedroom house, two 2 bedroom houses and two 3 bedroom houses. We also have three studio type apartments with shared facilities for those requiring shorter term emergency accommodation.
All residents have free access to the village's recreational facilities which include a seven acre lake with jetty and four islands, canoes & kayaks, a tennis court, a games room, BBQ areas, campfire sites and kilometres of walking tracks traversing the adjoining state forests.
Our village is the ideal place for couples or families (large or small). The kids will love our lake. They can swim, kayak or even catch fish. Feel like a nice big campfire on a cool winter's night?....no problem. Hit a few rounds of tennis or amuse yourself playing pool, darts or table tennis in the games room. Alternatively, why not take a stroll on the 1.1km track around the lake or go for a hike in the Johns River State Forest that borders two sides of the village.
Looking for a good school for the kids? Johns River school is only 2 kilometres away plus there are many public and private schools in Taree with school buses stopping at our entrance each morning.
There is a wealth of things to do and see in our surrounding areas. Taree (Manning Valley), Laurieton, North Haven & Dunbogan (Camden Haven), Port Macquarie (Hastings Valley) and Forster/Tuncurry (Great Lakes) are all a short driving distance away and offer everything from wildlife parks to beautiful sandy beaches. 'Gilead' is a 2 bedroom house. It has a kitchen, separate dining room, lounge room, laundry and bathroom.
It also has a large covered front verandah and the rear yard borders the state forest.
Cottage 1 is named 'Amaroo' which means 'beautiful place'.
Amaroo is a large (150m2) residence with two large bedrooms, modern kitchen, open plan lounge and dining areas, bathroom, laundry and carport.
Cottage 2 is named 'Bimbimbee' or 'place of many birds'.
This is a large (150m2) residence with two bedrooms, modern kitchen, open lounge and dining areas, bathroom, laundry and carport.
Cottage 3 is named 'Coorumbene' or 'pretty place'.
Bimbimbie is a large (150m2) residence with two bedrooms, modern kitchen, open lounge and dining areas, bathroom, laundry and carport.
Apartment 1 is a 2/3 bedroom dwelling. It has a kitchen with breakfast bar, open plan dining & living room, master bedroom, second bedroom, enclosed rear room (use as as a 3rd bedroom or sun room), bathroom, laundry & carport
Apartment 2 is a three bedroom dwelling. It has a kitchen with breakfast bar, open dining & living room, main bedroom which has 2 rooms (retreat or 2nd bedroom, third bedroom, bathroom & laundry. It also has a covered carport.
'Arimathea' is a three bedroom house.
It has a separate, kitchen & dining room plus bathroom and laundry. It also has a covered verandah and carport.
'Manasseh' is a three bedroom house.
It has a separate, kitchen & dining room plus bathroom and laundry. It also has a covered verandah and carport.
Duplex 1 is a 4 bedroom two-story dwelling. Downstairs has a modern kitchen, dining room, lounge room, bedroom, a toilet and a shower.
Upstairs has 3 larger bedrooms plus a bathroom.
Duplex 2 is a 4 bedroom two-story dwelling. Downstairs has a modern kitchen, dining room, lounge room, office or small bedroom, a larger bedroom, a toilet and a shower.

Obadiah Cottage is a 4 bedroom house. It has a kitchen, separate dining room, lounge room, utility room, laundry and bathroom.
It also has a large covered front verandah and a smaller covered patio on the side.
Bethesda is a 6 bedroom house. It has a kitchen, separate dining room, lounge room, utility room, laundry and bathroom.
It also has a large covered front verandah and borders the state forest on two sides.
Lakeside Lodge is named for its location overlooking our seven-acre lake .
Lakeside Lodge has 8 bedrooms, modern kitchen, 2 dining rooms, 2 lounge rooms, verandahs and a double carport.
Edenholme is a large eight-bedroom house on one level.
It has a modern kitchen, lounge room, dining room. two bathrooms, covered entertainment area and double carport.
Obadiah Residential Village has a range of amenities designed to make your tenancy as pleasing and enjoyable as possible. We have a seven acre lake with islands, jetty and canoes; a games room; a tennis court; BBQ areas, a campfire area, and kilometers of walking tracks in the adjoining state forest.
And best of all, there is no extra charge to use any of these amenities! It's all included in your weekly rent.
The campfire site is ideal for bigger groups and can be made festive by the addition of a BBQ and coloured party lights.

The major regional centres of Taree and Port Macquarie are around 30 minutes away and the towns of Harrington, Crowdy Head, Laurieton, Dunbogan and North Haven are around 15 - 20 minutes away.
